Educational Journey: The Foundation of Design Thinking
Dishant’s fascination with space began early – at just 15 years old, when a love for art, craft, and real estate sparked his curiosity for architecture. This early passion became a lifelong pursuit as he went on to earn his Bachelor’s in Architecture from Mumbai University (Aditya College, Borivali).
During his college years, Dishant was never one to wait for opportunities – he created them. While still a student, he founded The VERBS Studio in 2018, taking up small design, rendering, and landscape projects. These early ventures not only helped him fund his architectural tools but also nurtured his independent design voice – one that balances imagination with intent.
After graduating in 2020, he gained experience working with leading architectural and interior design firms, where he learned to blend technical expertise with artistic vision – a combination that defines his unique approach to design today.
The Story of The VERBS Studio: From Dream to Design Reality
The seeds of The VERBS Studio were planted long before it became a full-fledged practice. What began as a college dream evolved, over years of learning and experimentation, into a studio that now thrives on emotion, expression, and evolution.
After interning at Dilip Mevada & Associates in 2019, Dishant’s exposure to site execution and detailing ignited a passion for interiors. His subsequent years (2021–2023) saw him working on large-scale residential and commercial projects across Mumbai, Surat, and Rajasthan – gaining invaluable hands-on experience from concept to construction.
In 2023, while working with one of Mumbai’s leading luxury design firms, Dishant refined his understanding of materiality, proportion, and detail, rediscovering his deep connection with interior spaces.
This experience set the stage for 2024, when he re-established The VERBS Studio as a full-scale architecture and interior design practice. Within its first year, the studio executed 15+ projects, ranging from bespoke bungalows to sophisticated interiors – each marked by its refined simplicity, comfort, and emotional resonance.
Today, The VERBS Studio stands as a reflection of Dishant’s belief that design is never static – it’s a verb, always in motion.
