A Creative Calling from the Start
From her earliest memories, Madhurika was always drawn to creation – be it art, craft, or the colorful projects she would dream up as a child. She was fascinated by how surroundings could shape emotions, how spaces could influence moods.
This instinctive love for creativity eventually led her to L.S. Raheja College of Architecture, where she discovered her true passion for interior design. The process of transforming blank walls into layered, meaningful spaces deeply resonated with her. After completing her education, she worked at a design firm, gaining valuable experience and learning the finer nuances of design execution. Yet, a desire to build something more personal and value-driven always lingered beneath the surface.
The Birth of Urbane Storey
In 2016, that quiet dream took form as Urbane Storey LLP – a design practice that began with a handful of projects, immense passion, and a clear vision. The early years were all about learning, growing, and finding the right rhythm — from building trust with clients to managing everything hands-on.
As the studio grew, so did its team and ambitions. Madhurika’s journey was joined by Pushkar Pingle and Shoaib Qazi, both accomplished architects from JJ School of Arts, who shared her design sensibility and belief in creating spaces rooted in empathy and honesty. Together, they shaped Urbane Storey into a recognized design studio known for crafting homes that are modern yet timeless, functional yet deeply personal.
